Description: Two Action Researcher/Performers were positioned on separate pieces of white paper on the footpath of Oxford Street, only meters apart from one another. Each was equipped with a large black pen and clock in order to comprehensively, but independently, record the changing site experience over the same duration of time. Passers-by stopped to read the evolving script, looking down at the writing then up at the surrounding scene to confirm the experience that had been captured. Comparing the recordings at the end of the writing process, each Action Researcher/Performer had quite different responses. One focused more on the visual and stationary elements of the site, where as the other identified the sonic and transitory aspects of the urban environment.
