Description: Items left on the footpath for council pick-up, were collected by the Action Researcher/Performer and then uniformly painted white.  These items were then positioned in a disused shop-front space in a suburban Sydney shopping strip.  Within this space a choreographed performance was developed involving two Action Researcher/Performers as central characters in the evolving script.  The theatrical engagement was based on interactions previously witnessed in the local streets of the neighbourhood, re-enacted in the disused space at night.  A new sense of status and meaning was attributed to the found items, no longer anonymous and impersonal but instead revealing a history of previous use value, function and expression.
