Description: Stories about the experience of place were progressively written (using a non-permanent marker pen) onto a sheet of semi-translucent perspex held in front of the Action Researcher/Performer's face as she walked along the streets of a local neighbourhood. The localisation of the narrator directly within public space settings made obvious the immediate translation of sensory data into written documentary form. Certain fleeting incidents and encounters could therefore be recorded offering a temporary and time-specific reading of the place.
