Description: Woven polyester sacks (commonly olive green, mustard yellow or white in colour) were a predominant feature of the streetscape environments of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Hue.  These versatile bags were used to transport goods from one location to another and were often seen piled on top of each other on the footpath, in the markets, or at the back of motorbikes or trucks.  The Action Researcher/Performer purchased a series of these empty bags from a local market and then stencilled fictional stories on them derived from her experience in each city. These stencilled sacks were then placed back into the city scene for passers-by to chance upon.
