Description: Embellished interior wallpaper was cut into decorative forms and placed at doorway entrances of residential blocks in Paris. These grand doors of apartment compounds hide the domestic activities undertaken within the internal courtyard spaces. Adding these decorative forms to the entrances, suggested a leaking out of the internal private space of each home into the hostile public domain. This same wallpaper material was cut into smaller independent shapes and each form then placed on the footpath close to black liquid stains produced the day before. These decorative forms highlighted and embellished the stains, sometimes replicating the dynamic nature of their unpredictable form.
