Description: During summertime in Paris, restaurant tables and chairs are positioned on footpath thoroughfares, significantly encroaching on the pedestrian's ability to walk past without veering onto the road. As the Action Researcher/Performer negotiated these tables and chairs during her normal rounds of the city, she found it impossible not to be overcome by the smells of these dishes served and the sophisticated presentation of the meals on the plate as she balanced on the edge of the footpath. Consequently, the Action Researcher/Performer purchased a large white plate and using a non-permanent marker pen drew directly onto the plate surface reproductions of these meal images while standing next to the diners on the footpath.
