Mick Sheldon
Mick Sheldon was born and bred in the Sutherland Shire. The son of a navy officer, he moved from place to place, including New Guinea and Brisbane before finally settling in Panania. There a promising writing career was crushed because his teacher at Picnic Point primary school failed his creative writing story, describing it as too fanciful. Many years later after months of homelessness, his passion for writing was reignited by a poetry workshop in Surry Hills where he contributed some text. With light at the end of the tunnel concerning his homeless situation, Mick is now investigating ways to learn about writing and more importantly, how to make a dollar.
